How to Disable a Slide Tag?

Disabling the Slide Tag will stop it from sharing its location. Once disabled, it will no longer report to the Apple Find My network or the Google Find My Device network, and the owner will no longer receive updates on its location.

You can disable the tracker using either of the two methods below.

Method 1: Using the Power Button:

1. Locate the power button on the Slide Tag.
2. Quickly press the button 5 times in a row.
3. You will hear a short musical chord and the red light will blink twice. This confirms the location sharing has been successfully disabled.
   

Method 2: Removing the Battery:

1. Insert a coin or a flat tool into the Battery Cover Release Slot on the back of the device.
2. Gently rotate the battery cover counter-clockwise until the pointer moves from the "Locked" indicator to the "Unlocked" indicator.
3. Lift off the battery cover and remove the battery. This immediately cuts all power to the device and stops all tracking.
